My question is what would be expected for the organizers of the show to satisfy those that misperceive reality? Not invite Commodore speakers any more?

It would appear my initial response to Neil's humorous comment has itself been misperceived. Perhaps it's a function of my Midwest tone as viewed through an East Coast lens, or perhaps there's more to this topic to which I am not privy. I would consider it a travesty to withhold such invitations. It's obvious the Commodore luminaries have outsized personalities that may create part of the perception, and it's not fair to hold that against them. Kudos that they cultivate a following and are actively engaged in the community and in events like VCF East. My first thought would be to share some of this context on the vendor/exhibitor/presenter pages, as I think it's valuable. It could also be constructed as an encouragement to the various communities to focus efforts on increasing their community's representation in the show.
