Did you find out later what the problem was? Negative, I have not yet found the source of the issue. I've come to the conclusion that trying to fix that specific power supply is a losing game. So far on that PSU, I have:Swapped the large bridge rectifierSwapped 1 of the 5 large capacitorsReformed the other 4 large caps Replaced the 5V regulator twiceReplaced ALL of the carbon comp resistorsReplaced ALL of the small disc capacitors And it continues to try to kill itself all while whining in human-audible frequencies. It wasn't so bad at the show with so many other computers and people to drown out the sound, but at home it's intolerable after maybe an hour. It's time I replaced it with a fresh, modern, stable power supply and then get to the nitty gritty of additional debugging
