It varies from event to event but I started the ball rolling by dropping the exhibitor fee from VCF PNW in 2019. While covering expenses is important and necessary, it seems wrong to charge people for the privilege of creating an exhibit for us. We (the organization as a whole) still need to cover expenses, but we are trying to do it more through t-shirt sales, schwag (mousepads, coffee cups, etc.), consignment, gate fees (where possible) and donations/sponsorships.
