Ooops, forgot about this. Good news the system is in the lab. Bad news is it wasn't one of my main distractions. It wasn't totally ignored. I need to pull the disk drive to see if it's operational. I'll see what I can start tonight. Good news is that Dave was able to read some of the Gimix ST255 drive (similar format to the 68K OS-9 format). And the 68K has the same kind of drive. For those interested in the Gimix, I asked about Gimix OS9 boot disks and David Weins asked me about what disk controller it has. The OS-9 os is a lot like CP/M. You have to gen the disks and have all the correct device driver for it to work. Dave Gesswein checked the disk image he has from the Gimix and it's OS-9 Level II. So the Gimix can access up to 2M of RAM, I think. OS-9 for the 68K is more like Level II and there was no OS-9 Level I for the 68K. The rest of the folks are probably getting glassy eyed over this but for the 6809 the levels are how it handles memory and processes. It's a bit like UniFlex for the 6809, another scared Unix like OS for the 8 bit processor. -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry kd2zrq@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies KD2ZRQ
