My dream was to get Ultrix on this MV. After the huge pita time i had getting it on just a Personal Decstation5000/25, and the MOP failures I sort of gave up. Now there is way to much SGI work in the time I have to do this, and I'll never do anything on this MV. So it gettin swapped!
Doing net installs on DEC hardware is way too much hassle. Your best bet (for next time) is to beg/borrow/steal a Qbus SCSI host adapter, set it up as your first MSCP controller (772150), move your existing controller up to the secondary address (760334), boot from a CDROM on the Qbus SCSI adapter and do the install. Then, change /etc/fstab entries as required, shut down, move your first MSCP controller back down, pull the SCSI host adapter, and boot from your newly-created disk. It's not as bad as it sounds. I've done many installs this way. -Dave -- Dave McGuire, AK4HZ New Kensington, PA
