https://www.ebay.com/itm/225037349724 looks to be a ASR-35 (Heavy duty ASCII) The outside is so dirty that I can't read the keyboard markings, to eliminate it being a model 28 , but it looks good on the inside. The reader seems to be 8 bits wide which would make it an ASR-35. only 2 days left with no bid , I would hate to see it be junked. -- DuaneCraps sdɐɹɔ ǝuɐnp
Definitely a conversation piece But with local pick up would be tough for anybody here on the East Coast to pick up Somebody want to give him an offer if he doesn’t sell it. Sent from: My extremely complicated, hand held electronic device.

Duane, You can't tell from the tape reader as they used the same plate and just moved the guide pins. Three row keyboard implies model 28. ASCII models had 4-row keyboards. Dave G4UGM

That is a 28 ASR. Not ascii, but ITA2 (baudot/murray code) Here is a picture of a 35 ASR https://www.soemtron.org/images/jpgs/teletypeasr35.jpg Video of my 28 ASR and KSR if you're interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeThI5I-RFI 73 Eugene W2HX Subscribe to my Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/w2hx-channel/videos -----Original Message----- From: vcf-midatlantic <vcf-midatlantic-bounces@lists.vcfed.org> On Behalf Of Duane Craps via vcf-midatlantic Sent: Wednesday, June 22, 2022 11:50 AM To: VCF <vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> Cc: Duane Craps <DBC1964@cox.net> Subject: [vcf-midatlantic] Teletype on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/225037349724 looks to be a ASR-35 (Heavy duty ASCII) The outside is so dirty that I can't read the keyboard markings, to eliminate it being a model 28 , but it looks good on the inside.
