GameStop Switch Display Frame
https://www.facebook.com/share/1ENWko3nAD/?mibextid=wwXIfr $500. Maybe you can talk the seller down a little. BUT.. historically someday someone in MARCH or similar group would want this in their museum … knowing how rare similar Atari displays are today, 40 years later. Made to have visual appeal. this Nintendo in-store display is still in good shape. Not an item for me but always best to be ahead of the curve when collecting things. This is a future exhibit someone with the means or dedication to their niche in the hobby should pick up Bill
I am trying to make a fun quiz about Vintage Computing. It will be emailed ahead of time to people who register for tours at The Computer Museum @ System Source. https://museum.syssrc.com/quiz/ 1) Would love suggestions for more questions. Prompts can be text, Audio, picture or video. Answers are multiple choice. 2) Do you see any errors? Any suggestions? I went to Claude and asked it to write the site using only Javascript, CSS, and html. I made up the questions (no AI involved) Bob Roswell Computer Museum @ System Source 410-771-5544 x 4336
I wrote an article that gives evidence the NRI 832 is very similar to the Kenbak but predates it as a first personal computer. I talked to Lee Felsemstein about it, he ran an informal poll for (I think) the Boston Computer museum in the 80s and after results of the poll were published the Kenbak has been considered the “first personal Computer” ever since. Once momentum takes hold it’s hard to change minds. https://vintagecomputer.net/browse_thread.cfm?id=743 On Thu, May 8, 2025 at 1:45 PM Bob Roswell via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:

I got 5/5. It was too easy. I’ll have to think about some good questions. - Derrik
This is cool, and I think the questions are all appropriate for visitors / prospective visitors. Minor suggestion - flip the sentences on the answer for the "which is faster question'. Give the short answer first, then the (semi detailed) explanation. Other ideas for questions - When was the first CPU invented How much memory does the Apollo Guidance Computer have (and answer how many X more memory a modern computer has). Or.. how much more memory does a Commodore 64 have than the AGC, etc. How many physical tools can a modern smartphone replace? (I.e. have a correct answer of 40+ or whatever and smaller numbers for incorrect answers) "Which computer was used by mainstream musicians such as Depeche Mode in the 1990s to make music" (work the word MIDI in there somehow).
