Yeah. I know. It's still a good song. I caught that too. M.O.S. is the name they specifically didn't want to sound like Mostech. It's right there in the history of Commodore.

The smiley notwithstanding, I'll be the first to admit I often call it MOSS when talking about the ICs. Emm Oh Esss is no doubt better but it doesn't roll off the tongue and it often gets in the way when you're trying to talk about the platforms and original ICs when the name of the company is only really important as a comparison (The WDC and Rockwell ICs are *NOT* always drop in replacements, etc.) So, if that's the worst to find in the song, I'd give it a pass. Back in ‘83 in college, some of the Sys/370 assembly language/cobol students would get tweaked if you said “Dahss” instead of Dee-Oh-Ess. It was always the ones who had not yet used a micro. On Mon, Sep 25, 2023 at 4:09 PM RETRO Innovations <go4retro@go4retro.com> wrote:

While interning at IBM in the PC era I at first used to call IBM DOS "dose" ... until an IBM colleague finally corrected me. On Mon, Sep 25, 2023, 4:20 PM Dean Notarnicola via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:
