Instead of me trying to round up everyone Saturday afternoon (July 21), what if we (gasp!) make plans? First thing: what's the best time to meet for dinner? I'm guessing late-ish because we would be leaving our demo tables unstaffed, so we want to wait until attendance goes down. (VCF owns a pair of huge tarps with grommet holes. What we usually do overnight is drape those over our tables and tie around the bottom with rope.)

Sorry, I thought everyone knew. It's "Hackers On Planet Earth" -- the largest hacker con on the east coast. It is produced every other year by 2600 magazine. It is in Manhattan at the Hotel Pennsylvania. We always have a demo there. On Mon, Jun 25, 2018, 9:04 PM W2HX <w2hx@w2hx.com> wrote:

Nobody will find us there Friday. We'll be there Saturday and Sunday. On Mon, Jun 25, 2018, 9:15 PM Bill Degnan via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:

If I'm in the city +1 Places to think about http://www.skylightdinernyc.com, nice diner that can accommodate larger groups also more reasonable in price compared to surrounding area If money is less of an object www.brotherjimmys.com is good On Mon, Jun 25, 2018 at 9:58 PM, Neil Cherry via vcf-midatlantic <vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:

That's definitely my choice. Reasonable price (for NY), good selection, casual, convenient. Everyone: what time should we eat? (Here's the event schedule: http://hope.net/grid.html)

*falls off chair* My propensity for organizing must be rubbing off on you Evan!

When does HOPE officially end for the day? I would guess around 7 or 8pm would be a good time for dinner.

Yep.
HOPE doesn't officially end for the day, just they stop doing the main track talks. That's part of the problems with planning on going somewhere else for dinner. Half the time I just grab a lamb sandwich from the halal cart that's always across the street and bring it back to the conference floor tables. (YES IT'S CLEAN, NO IT'S NOT A ROACH COACH :P ) Thanks, Jonathan On Tue, Jun 26, 2018 at 8:20 PM, Jeffrey Brace via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:

Evan, Please count me in for dinner Saturday. We need to wait for the final session schedule before setting a time so we don't conflict with anything really cool. Jim On Mon, 25 Jun 2018, Evan Koblentz via vcf-midatlantic wrote:
