Capacitor list for Mac 128/512/plus Analog board (US Version)
I thought this might be of help to some trying to do a bulk replacement of capacitors on the Analog boards form the early macs. Where possible i went with 105 degree rated capacitors and with a 25% higher voltage rating. The part numbers are from Mouser. -- Matt Patoray KD8AMG

Well, It looks like the list does not allow PDF's. Here is the list in text. While I'm not have any issues with my 128 & 512, would you recommend re-capping? On Wednesday, June 29, 2016, Matt Patoray via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

If you are going to use either machine regularly I would recommend doing the recap for sure. Even if it is just occasional use, it may help things you may not have even noticed like screen focus and brightness, as well as linearity. The ratings for those capacitors where of a marginal specification to begin with and years of being baked has not improved that situation.

On the subject of recapping a Mac, anyone want to do one for me (Mac plus I think). I'll pay for parts and your time, but if you agree I'd like it done quickly (like a week or two). Thanks, Kelly
Well, I may be doing my 128 & 512. I suppose I could do a 3rd. But doing 3 may take me a bit longer than the 2 weeks. On Thursday, June 30, 2016, Kelly Leavitt via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

Maybe we (as a group) should make a count of how many people have a 128/512/plus, that has never been recapped. It would likely save us money being able to buy the caps in larger quantities. If nothing else, it would save on all of the individual shipping costs for each person who has one needed to be done. And depending upon the cost of the caps, maybe have the group buy extra sets, bag them, and offer the "re-cap set" for sale online. If someone has a board layout showing which caps go where (like an instruction guide) include copies of that with the set. On Thursday, June 30, 2016, Joseph Oprysko <joprysko1@gmail.com> wrote:

For clarification, I don't need it done in two weeks. I'd just like a two week window when it could be done, even if it were a month from now. ________________________________ From: vcf-midatlantic <vcf-midatlantic-bounces@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> on behalf of Kelly Leavitt via vcf-midatlantic <vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> Sent: Thursday, June 30, 2016 8:39 AM To: vcf-midatlantic Cc: Kelly Leavitt Subject: [vcf-midatlantic] Recapping a Mac Plus On the subject of recapping a Mac, anyone want to do one for me (Mac plus I think).
