I like the line about Tandy¹s idea of fun being the sale of six incompatible computer lines at the same time. I worked at RS in the early-80¹s and it was a great ‹ but untenable ‹ time of discovery, with everyone trying to find their way through the shifting landscape until IBM established a standard.
