Workshop 8/20 & 8/21 location change
So it looks like about 10 or so will be coming to the workshop on Aug. 20 & 21. So I'm moving the location to the classroom again in 9010-A. -- Jeff Brace - ark72axow@gmail.com

Same here in Pittsburgh, awful heat, similar temperatures, humidity, and patterns as Florida. Air conditioners are not even coming close to keeping up. At night the temperature is only dropping by a few degrees. -Dave On 08/14/2016 09:43 AM, J. Alexander Jacocks via vcf-midatlantic wrote:

San Jose is shockingly cooler than this entire week today and slightly more humid than "unnoticable" Slightly too much sun, though ;) On Sun, Aug 14, 2016, at 10:37, Dave McGuire via vcf-midatlantic wrote:

Er, yeah. I was searching for tips on insulating our basement, and it turns out none of the DIY sites have any advice on how to keep server/mini heat out of the REST of the house. Alas. - Dave
We have a permanently installed dehumidifier downstairs where the rack is. Honestly, at 30-40% humidity, everything down there is peachy keen. :) -----Original Message----- From: vcf-midatlantic [mailto:vcf-midatlantic-bounces@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org] On Behalf Of David Riley via vcf-midatlantic Sent: Sunday, August 14, 2016 7:29 PM To: mloewen@cpumagic.scol.pa.us; vcf-midatlantic <vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> Cc: David Riley <fraveydank@gmail.com> Subject: Re: [vcf-midatlantic] weather, was Re: Workshop 8/20 & 8/21 location change On Aug 14, 2016, at 16:29, Mike Loewen via vcf-midatlantic <vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

So if it's 110degF it's ok, as long as the humidity is low? ;) -Dave On 08/14/2016 07:43 PM, David Hoelzer via vcf-midatlantic wrote:

Obviously not... living on an island and having a fully submerged basement doesn't hurt though. It's only about 78 down there even though it was around 90 outside today. -----Original Message----- From: vcf-midatlantic [mailto:vcf-midatlantic-bounces@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org] On Behalf Of Dave McGuire via vcf-midatlantic Sent: Sunday, August 14, 2016 7:51 PM To: vcf-midatlantic <vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> Cc: Dave McGuire <mcguire@neurotica.com> Subject: Re: [vcf-midatlantic] weather, was Re: Workshop 8/20 & 8/21 location change So if it's 110degF it's ok, as long as the humidity is low? ;) -Dave On 08/14/2016 07:43 PM, David Hoelzer via vcf-midatlantic wrote:

Yes, there will be no problems in the classroom space in 9010-A with the temperature. The HVAC is new and in a smaller space. Heating/Cooling 9032-A is much harder in such an open space with windows and unknown insulation in that space. Plus the classroom space had stable power that is grounded whereas 9032-A has a few outlets that don't have that and the power is questionable. On Sun, Aug 14, 2016 at 9:43 AM, J.
