MARCH Steering Committee Election results
Hello all, Sorry for getting this out so late, but I've been in a bit of a tizzy from Festivus. The results from the most recent steering committee are as follows: Doug Crawford: 30 Jeff Salzman: 29 CJ Reha: 28 Dean Notarnicola: 25 Rick Lewis: 11 Doug Crawford and Jeff Salzman have both won re-election for their seats, and CJ Reha shall be assuming Dave McGuire's seat coming into 2025. In addition, as Ian Litchfield is resigning at the end of this year, his seat shall be filled by the first runner-up (as we have done in the past, for instance, when Dave McGuire assumed Alex Jacocks's seat following his resignation one year ago) - as such, Dean Notarnicola shall assume Ian Litchfield's seat for the remainder of his term, which ends at EOY 2025. As its first act, the steering committee has also elected yours truly - Thomas G. - as official chairman of the MARCH Steering Committee. I look forward to serving in this role to the best of my abilities! Congratulations to both the winners and all involved, and thank you very much to all who voted! These results will also be available in the upcoming newsletter for the month of January, 2025. -Thomas G. Chairman of MARCH & Collections Manager
Congratulations guys, and it is a great honor to pass my torch to CJ! -Dave On 12/16/24 17:29, Thomas G via vcf-midatlantic wrote:

I'd like to thank all those who voted for their confidence in me. The top three candidates' votes were very close, and I'm happy to continue working on the committee to help make effective policy changes and continue to generate the momentum needed to promote MARCH and VCF's standing in the vintage computing community. For those who were not in attendance at Festivus, you did not witness the quick, decisive, and unanimous action to choose Thomas G. to be the chairman. Thomas has plenty to offer in the position of Steering Committee Chairman for many reasons, not limited to, proximity to MARCH's active epicenter (InfoAge), effective communication skills, and his long history of demonstrating the ability to effectively induce action. He has my highest respect, and I'm sure the same respect from the other members of the new Committee. Ian and Dave, we will miss you at the meetings, and we thank you for your efforts during your tenure in the Steering Committee.
