Someone new (Doug Megill) to the workshop would like to know if anyone coming to the workshop has a monitor that works with a SGI Octane2 and a Sun Ultra 60 that both need help. We might have this in the VCF warehouse, but I would need to know model to see if we have one. Any SOG (sync-on-green) LCD panel works with SGI. I'm pretty sure there are some older Dell Panels around CDL or the warehouse which are SOG. Doug will need a cable - DB13W3 to VGA to connect to them. I'm pretty sure VCF doesn't have such a cable. I won't be there this weekend so I cannot bring one for him. Perhaps someone else can. -andy

I use NEC Multisync LCDs (1810X and 2080UX+ I think are the model numbers) with a lot of SOG systems, but haven't tried them with any SGIs yet. They work fine on stuff like HP-9000 series 300 machines, etc. I use VGA to BNC adapter cables that are cheap on Amazon, and leave the Hsync and Vsync BNCs dangling.
