Hello everyone, I've been wondering if there are any plans for having a repair workshop soon. This is probably a bad time to ask about workshops seeing as Festivus is so soon (which I am excited to attend). Anyway, I'm looking for some help on a (probably simple) repair project I've been struggling with for a while. Thanks, James Garland
Hello everyone
Hello! I forget if you've posted here before ... if not then please introduce yourself.
I've been wondering if there are any plans for having a repair workshop soon.
We'll announce more workshops soon (hopefully with the next one being in January and then almost every month thereafter). Jeff Brace organizes those for us.
seeing as Festivus is so soon (which I am excited to attend).
Excellent! We always enjoy meeting new members. Please reply to the "who's attending" email.

Feel free to post about it here.
Hello James, I was thinking about scheduling 3 workshops: January 9/10 Weekend February 6/7 Weekend March 5/6 Weekend These workshops would be in the big open meeting area of 9032-A. Does anyone see any conflicts with any other events on those dates? Evan, of course, I just wanted to bounce them off the group first to see if there were other hamfests/festivals that they would conflict with. <https://www.avast.com/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> This email has been sent from a virus-free computer protected by Avast. www.avast.com <https://www.avast.com/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> <#DDB4FAA8-2DD7-40BB-A1B8-4E2AA1F9FDF2> On Mon, Nov 30, 2015 at 8:51 PM, Evan Koblentz via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

Not I. Run them by Fred (and his assistant Gloria, etc.)
Jeff, January 9/10 is the 70th Anniversary of Project Diana. Mike Ruane is setting up an event on the TIROS site up the road on this weekend. Martin Flynn On 11/30/2015 8:35 PM, Jeffrey Brace via vcf-midatlantic wrote:

OK. Martin. Thanks for letting me know! I didn't see it on the InfoAge calendar, so I'm glad you let me know. On Mon, Nov 30, 2015 at 10:09 PM, Martin A Flynn via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

That probably makes it a good weekend, since it would give attendees the chance to go to both, without making the long drive for multiple weekends. I doubt that there would be competition for resources between the two events. - Alex On Mon, Nov 30, 2015 at 11:15 PM, Jeffrey Brace via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

I have a previous engagement on the 9th, mid afternoon, so the 9th would be impractical for me. The 10th I'm not sure. -- Steven Toth - Kernel Labs http://www.kernellabs.com +1.646.355.8490
