Does anyone in the Philadelphia area have an external modem or three to lend me for testing? -- Normal Person: Hey, it seems that you know a lot. Geek: To be honest, it's due to all the surfing I do. I'm in SW center city and have a 28.8 modem you're welcome to keep; I don't have the time I thought I did to do anything with it. - Dave
In fact, if there are others in the group interested in older modems, it is not uncommon for me to come across modems ranging from 1200 to 19200 at the local “goody pile” at the dump. If you send me a note I’ll be glad to keep my eye out.

If you don't get enough, I have a few 56k's in storage, I just won't be able to put my hands on the immediately, and I'm a ways away. On Tue, Oct 25, 2016 at 5:24 PM, Joseph Oprysko via vcf-midatlantic <vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

Can you post the notes of your project here, what set up are you working on, hardware, network diagram, etc. Curious. b
I have a pile of modems if anybody needs some. I'm keeping the telebit, though. ;) Sent from my iPhone

Hi, Cory s. - we haven't heard from you in a while. Consider going to our Festivus party so you can see the new museum and meet a lot of the newer members.
Sorry! Been absolutely swamped this year with work. :( I'd love to attend Festivus...but I'm STILL swamped with work. (New VM cluster AND phone system deployments that are behind...)
Bill, It's actually just for testing the PBX system and BBS software for the VCF BBS that will be setup at the museum. As the PBX arrived, but I only have 1 modem currently, so hard to test dialing up with just what I have right now. If it was easier for me to take longer drives, I'd probably have just asked Evan for a couple from the warehouse and go pick them up.
