Great day at the museum
Doug Crawford, Christian Liendo and Ken Gober helped Martin with laying down fiber to the 9010 building. I'm sure that they will give a report later. Doug was also docent at the museum. Myself, Corey Cohen, Liz Cohen, Ben Cohen and Marcus Mera sorted out and counted all the swag in the warehouse. Corey and I focused on preparing what we have to ship out to VCF West. The steel messenger cable is up, and ready to attach the fiber and copper cabling ( using the copper cables, CDL can provide 23 analog phone lines to the new museum space for modem & BBS demonstrations) The fiber and coupler panels are deployed on the MDF (main distribution frame) in Building 9059 CDL handed off the fiber for 9036 to VCF, the fire-rated sleeves (Hilti CP653 if anyone wants to look up the part) required by code are inbound. Hello! I was also there giving Martin a hand with some things today. I will be by tomorrow to finish running a cable underneath the eaves in the AM on the CDL building and probably leave the campus around 2PM. -Ian L. Doug, Not recovered - InfoAge is reaching out to the rental company to see if they are willing to absorb the cost of another weekend rental to install the fiber. If not, we need how to determine where to borrow a bucket truck, or somehow fund the rental. Daily rental is $521, weekly is $1115, with delivery and picking adding $250 more Further complicating the matter is volunteer availability - My next free Saturday is July 8th as an example....
