Man, I would have loved to see what the river looked like from the bridge over the gorge in New Kensington, though. That must have been a sight. Glad you're OK. We had a tornado touch down near us between Arnold and Annapolis, miraculously no one was injured except for the roof of the gym of my wife's old high school. Ironically, there were also tornados pretty close to Philadelphia, where we lived until about a year ago. There is no escape, I guess. - Dave

Amazingly it didn't get all that high. I think it was because most of the rain fell just to the south of us.

Hello! I certainly hope your okay there Andy. I'm fine, however the subway is, ah, taking a break today. I heard about it on the extended form of the News on Channel Four. David there are reports that there were monsters seen by your place last night, enjoying the rain. ----- Gregg C Levine gregg.drwho8@gmail.com "This signature fought the Time Wars, time and again." During the discussions, Perry offers his usual good points on why he can't plead self-defense anymore for his client, Paul grumbles that the case resembles a a big mess, and that was before that idiot Holcombe got involved. Della, with Duke asleep on her lap, offers, a "Paul why did you call Holcombe that? Even the Doctor's staff will agree that the cop is, well, full of stuff that smells bad, but that term?" The Doctor looks at Perry, he's got Junior asleep on his lap, "Actually Della the group knows why Paul used that term. And that's a polite thought for that boob.", outside it's pouring rain, and the two lions are watching it rain. The 9 tigers are well spread out all over the office, including the one used by the clerk. And then, "Actually Perry from what you've told me about the case, and what happened, I'd say your proceeding with alacrity." from The Doctor and Perry Mason an unpublished memoir..

Not to mention that it's FILTHY because it often contains the contents of the sewers, which flood first, and also may be electrified! Floodwater is just bad news all around. - Dave

I live 3 miles from InfoAge. I got only 2.5" rain in my yard, and there was no flooding discernable in Neptune by 10:30 AM today. InfoAge is on a bluff overlooking the Shark River Inlet, so is not in any particular danger from that river. There is a downhill slope on the west side, Monmouth Blvd., but InfoAge is slightly elevated relative to that. I expect that InfoAge is fine, but haven't gone to check. Perhaps there's somebody there who knows. Bruce NJ On Thu, Sep 2, 2021 at 3:17 PM Jeffrey Brace via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:

I was there today. No puddles in our warehouse. No puddles anywhere on campus. Didn't check the basement of 9001. From what I saw there were no problems in any of the buildings that I went into 9010, 9036, 9001, 9032.

Yesterday was my first day of in-person classes back at Rutgers. Route 18 and low-lying land near the Raritan are flooded, which has disrupted university operations. Some dorms had to be evacuated, commuters were stranded on campus, the buses are more of a mess than usual, and the first football game was postponed, but nothing too bad has happened to me besides getting drenched last night. All of my classes were canceled today. Not an encouraging return to in-person classes. :) On Thu, Sep 2, 2021 at 11:11 AM Christian Liendo via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:

The Kingston/Princeton/canal/Sourlands got hammered. Some of my Friends took pictures of Amwell/Millstone near the canal and Rocky Hill. Several feet of water (climbing up Coppermine rd). The damage to the roads there are bad. They're still under water. Lamberville is a royal mess, took out the roads, small bridges and the water main. Neshanic similar. So that's the Raritan Valle (Manville & Somerville too), Black River, & North Branch. I'm pretty sure I haven't even made a ding is the damage locally. I'm just counting my blessings that I'm sitting at home safe typing this in. -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry ncherry@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies
