Happy owner fo a Tandy MC-10
Yup, Ebay but it wasn't expensive. Not in great condition but I can most likely repair it. I like my 6502/68xx chips so this will go along with the rest of my collection. Any other MC-10 owners out there? Unfortunately no. I will have to get one. Perhaps the MCX-128. I found out that the Python Version of DriveWire supports the EmCee server. -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry ncherry@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies
MCX may be the single best usage you can get for the MC-10, along with a composite mod. Did not know that about drivewire, excellent! On Fri, Jan 18, 2019 at 9:26 PM Neil Cherry <ncherry@linuxha.com> wrote:

Dean, I have one that i picked up in a thrift store a couple of years ago. I do not have the 8 volt AC transformer that normally powers it. I feed it with 9 volts DC which works just fine ( it feeds straight into a full wave bridge ), except the ± voltages are not developed for the RS-232 output. It came with a CTR-83 cassette recorder. I was surprised that there is a very active Yahoo! group for the MC-10 I had one of the first COCOs , but got rid of it when I got a PC. I really, really hate that squared off 6847 font. If not for that I'd get one of the later COCOs to play with. And the only thing that I have with a NTSC input is an old LCD in the bedroom. I thought about Grant Searle's FPGA emulation, but looks like a steep learning curve. Might be a good class. Duane On 1/18/2019 7:00 PM, Dean Notarnicola via vcf-midatlantic wrote:
