Please suggest interesting people who could keynote at VCF East XII next spring. Requirements: mainstream appeal, live within a few hundred miles of InfoAge, not redundant to past keynote subjects. DO NOT reach out to anyone on behalf of our organization. Invitations must come from me, Corey, Jeff B., or Erik Klein out west.

How about Sam Harbison, who was responsible for many of the ASCII art overstrike printouts at Princeton in 1973? http://q7.neurotica.com/Oldtech/ASCII/ When I corresponded with him last, he was in Pittsburgh. http://www.harbison.org/sph3/ Mike Loewen mloewen@cpumagic.scol.pa.us Old Technology http://q7.neurotica.com/Oldtech/

Jeri spoke here several years ago, but now she's busy running her startup and anyway she's out west. I don't know much about Leonard T. other than his father ran Commodore. On 11/01/2016 01:15 PM, Chris Fala via vcf-midatlantic wrote:

Would love to have him speak. First I have to figure out where he lives. If he's out west then we would ask for VCF West instead of East. Remember, we own that now. :)

LinkedIn says he's in Chicago. We do not own VCF Midwest, but we're good friends with them. If he's available to speak then it probably should be there.

If anyone's wondering -- we booked Stewart C. before we brought back VCF West -- that's why he flew out here from California. But maybe we could ask him to take part in West in some other role. I would love to see him do a C.C.-style show live for the audience!

I think Florrd Johrgennson inventor of the Elstart Amigo lives in Wall Township. He does a history of computing marionette show that's pretty good.

Bill, you and I both know what's going to happen now, but I'm not going to say it because it will ruin the fun. :)

Ah my favorite computer, the Elstart Amigo. I love it more than Apple computers. I have only ever seen one in a magazine ad at Christmas time. It had a lovely Pennsylvania family hanging around the dinner table enjoying the computer. Cheers, Corey corey cohen uǝɥoɔ ʎǝɹoɔ

Yeah the Elstart Amigo was way ahead of it's time, much like the Commodore 64 and the Commodore 64. I have always wanted one of the Elstart Amigo's, but they are so rare to find now that they are too expensive for me to afford. I'm surprised Corey doesn't have one. I remember seeing a documentary on History Channel about the Eastern European knockoff, the Zuid Freund. QA was nonexistent, most were returned. On Nov 1, 2016 9:12 PM, "Evan Koblentz via vcf-midatlantic" < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

I had one back in the 1980s but I upgraded it to the much less valuable Amigo II.
I found the Elstart Co.'s old address. 1523 Delaware Ave., Wilmington, DE. .... Bill isn't that your neck of the woods? Maybe you could look them up.
I am fairly sure that Leonard was actively involved in Commodore, and definitely in Atari. Saw an episode of Computer Chronicles with them. On Tue, Nov 1, 2016 at 1:21 PM, Evan Koblentz via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:
