Two thoughts, one I think was already covered. Some people use eBay as a way to advance themselves, or others, cash via credit cards. Like a payday loan operation, so it looks legit enough to a person not in the hobby that it might be worth that much based on the description and a picture. The other thought is that it is someone using a powerseller tool that loads in bulk listings, and then goes back and edits later on when they have all the correct details.
