How did everyone handle the storm? I'm in the heart of the deepest stuff -- 30". Shoveled twice yesterday and once today.

Sheesh. That's ridiculous! We got about 5" here I think, maybe 6. -Dave -- Dave McGuire, AK4HZ New Kensington, PA

Just now the county finally plowed our road. Anybody else still waiting?
No, but I had to re-shovel my sidewalk today. Melting caused large piles of snow to fall back onto it.
I managed to get in 10 miles on the bike today. Main local roads are narrow but passable (bike and cars). Local secondary are tighter and the melt is an issue (water hides black ice). I haven't gotten to tertiary roads yet. Perhaps Saturday. The melt has been a bit slower than I expected (no rain last night). I'm going to be breathing in salt until we get a good rain. Monroe did a good job and they're now front ending the snow into dump trucks at congested intersections. This is the first time I recall them doing this. -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry ncherry@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies
