As we discussed here several months ago, I'd like to see three "1977 trinity" exhibits at VCF East XII: one each for Apple, Commodore, and Tandy. Each of these mega-exhibits can have up to five people and will be given several tables. The goal is to see which team can best honor one of these three companies. By having multiple people on each team, you can pool resources to have every possible accessory and model. The main focus should be the '77 models -- Commodore PET 2001, straight Apple II, and TRS-80 Model 1 -- but we expect to see other models (older/newer) too. There will be a prize and bragging rights for the winning exhibit in this special event. Of course, there will be plenty of standard VCF exhibits too. Believe it or not :) our world does not revolve around these three companies. Form teams (max five people each) via private communication among yourselves. Each team should pick a captain. That's who will be the main contact for show logistics. Each team should also come up with a creative name! :) Captains: email me your team name and roster by this Friday night (December 9). If there is enough interest, then I will consider allowing competitive teams, such as Commodore A v. Commodore B -- who can interpret an exhibit best? But such teams should NOT work together. It wouldn't be fair to the other teams. GO!

Well, if we wanted a 1977 example of an Apple II, here it is. Of course, I will never be able to afford what it will eventually go for, but here it is all the same! http://m.ebay.com/itm/112228668871 Tony
S/N 25! Wow! How much is the Plus worth these days? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-II-plus-Computer-Tested-Works/162311289565 On Wed, Dec 7, 2016 at 8:02 AM, Tony Bogan via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

I'd say that's about right. I got mine from Kemner's for about that. On Wed, Dec 7, 2016 at 9:12 AM, Chris Fala via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

Not feeling the Apple Love here yet. Who's going to help show what Steve and Steve put out there? Tony
Further clarification: trinity team members should have their captains register it. Don't have all the individual members register separately.
I'd be interested in forming a Tandy team. Anyone? On Tue, Dec 6, 2016 at 5:03 PM, Evan Koblentz via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

I know Kelly would like to be on a Tandy team, but if he does then we'll need some very reliable volunteers for the consignment booth -- he's done an amazing job there and deserves a chance to exhibit.
What he said... I would love to be a part of a Tandy exhibit. I have the model II desk. Could put together a Model II office just with my junk.
Nice! Make it so... On Tue, Dec 6, 2016 at 8:12 PM Kelly Leavitt via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:
