Hey Jonathan. The date code is from 1981 and manufacture is GI. I'm not very failure with the Apple I but I would assume the IC would be from Signetics and have an earlier date code. Functionally I believe they would be the same. The units I have were also tested on an Apple II "pre Rev 7" machine - if that helps at all. Henry S.
