Got a phone call today from an engineer at Honeywell Aerospace. Anyone interested in helping him troubleshoot over the phone? He lives in Arizona. Here is what he said: “ - There is a 5-1/4” floppy diskette created in 1995 that can no longer be read by the Honeywell designed equipment. - We found one 5-1/4” floppy diskette from our Test Group that works in the Honeywell designed equipment. - We need to make additional copies of the working 5-1/4” floppy diskette. It contains one executable file on it. - We have tried making copies, on an IBM Compatible PC from 1995, but the floppy disk doesn’t work in the Honeywell designed equipment. - It looks like the disk is being read by the Honeywell designed equipment but after a few seconds from reading the disk the system fail light turns on. - We would like your help to see if we can make a working copy from the original 199X created Floppy Disk. ”
If nobody else has time I could speak with him briefly, at least to better understand what steps they've tried already. Jason Perkins 313 355 0085 Sent from my iPhone On Fri, Oct 27, 2023 at 3:39 PM Jeffrey Brace via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:
