The CDL PBX thinks it's 1981 again as it allows calls between our M43 (4320AAA) Teletype in the CDL and other ASCII machines on site using the historically correct area codes of 510, 610, and 910. Martin

??? - Wasn't NJ just 201 and 609? I recall Great Adventure having a 201 number despite being in Jackson. The jamesburg exchange office was in 609 which meant Monroe Twp was split into 609 and 201. -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry ncherry@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies

TWX / Telex II had it's own semi-geographic area codes: 510, 710, 810, and 910, with 610 being Canada.
The North American TWX area codes (510, 710, 810, 910) were decommissioned in 1981, with 510, 610, 810 and 910 being recovered for re-use in the NANP. 710 was claimed by the Federal Government for GETS service (a whole area code reserved for a single phone number)
