Cromemco JS-1 joysticks color
anyone ever notice the difference in color of the Hammond clamshell case ? I dug out my JS-1 joysticks, which I picked up over the years, looking them over cause one of them needs a rebuild. I have a 3rd spare in case I needed parts, and the top cover of the clam shell has a different color. The bottom of the clamshell has the same blue color on all of them. One color is beige, and the other is a light gray. But they are original. I just never noticed they went thru a color change. Yes, Hammond paints seem to have varied a lot, back in the day. Also, the seem to react differently to age. I have a pair that are in poor shape that (one assumes) started out the same color and encountered the same environments but the paint on one is significantly darker than the other.
