Volunteer needed to record YouTube time codes for VCF West 2020 stream.
We need a volunteer to go through the 9 hour VCF West video and write down the time stamp for each segment of the video. Also the name of the segment. If you are interested, then please let me know. This is the video that it will be needed for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YoolSAHR5w&t=11652s This is an example of someone who created a time stamp for an audio YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyaTChd-7BY -- ========================================= Jeff Brace Vice President & Board Member, VCF East Showrunner Vintage Computer Federation http://www.vcfed.org/ jeffrey@vcfed.org cell: 732-759-1783
It's possible to right click the timeline, and copy the URL at current time. It will give you a url with an extra option that I think is the offset in seconds from the start of the video.

Yes, but someone still has to go through the tedious process. The person who suggested to put in time codes rather than download, chop up and re-upload separate videos, said "not me" even though they had suggested it. Literally 7 people who think it is a good idea, but unwilling to do it because of time or disinterest. Do you want to do it?

Oh boy. Thought that was private reply. Sorry to flame "that person". I'm entitled to at least one goof up per year, so this is mine.

Jeff, If we ship a portable drive to the folks who shot the video so we have source, We can use the Vegas editing workstation to do the splits and add the graphics Martin Sent from my iPhone

Thanks for the idea Martin. We already have the source video for the pre-recorded videos. We just don't have the live presentations and the Q&A that we recorded live onto YouTube. If we split it up, which is more work and we would still need a volunteer.

Jeff, 1. Sign *in* to *the VCF YouTube* Studio account. 2. From *the* left panel, select *the* Videos tab. 3. Hover over *the* video you'd like to *download*, and select Menu then *Download*. Martin

Got it. Don't know if I have the space for a 9 hour video or the time to split it up. We need a volunteer to split up the videos.

I am slammed this week :-( Stuff going on tonight after I get home from work, Work tomorrow, then side job tomorrow night, Friday I leave in the morning to head to campground/quarry for scuba diving and camping all weekend. So gotta pack and go to grocery store and stuff around the other things. Phew! But if no one steps up next week I can probably tackle it! - Ethan
Yep, you'd want to copy that URL and then add the name of the segment associated with that in some HTML snippets, so we could incorporate that in a web page and the YouTube page.... -andy
