Re: [vcf-midatlantic] C64 is also 40 this year
I got my C64 at Crazy Eddies, the first one was broken and be broght it back and they gave me a new one. I remember sometime in 1992 there was a place that was selling them in the box for like $15. My first C64 was a hand me down, from a friend. Before long I bought a 1541c? Then the bread bin 64 gave up the ghost. I got some tax money and bought my first IBM compatible. While waiting for it to arrive I drove to Penn Station and bought a 64c in the basement.
When did Bil Herd get his first c64? On Fri, Jan 7, 2022, 9:39 AM Christian Liendo via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:

I'm not sure he every got one for home use. He used them when he was at Commodore. You would have to ask him in person when he comes to VCF East 2022!
