A hundred 8th-graders visited InfoAge today all the way from Lake Hopatcong. They visited in four groups of 25 at a time to VCF, NJARC, the TIROS dish, and I'm not sure what was there fourth destination. I had each group for 30 minutes and gave them a crash-course in computer history. They were all polite and asked smart questions. All but one said they'd never heard of nor seen anything older than Windows Vista. The one exception? A kid who knew about the Apple II. Tony stopped over to take down our big orange VCF East fence sign and to move the display case Corey borrowed back into the warehouse. ________________________________ Evan Koblentz, director Vintage Computer Federation a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit evan@vcfed.org (646) 546-9999 www.vcfed.org facebook.com/vcfederation twitter.com/vcfederation instagram.com/vcfederation
