Help repairing oscilloscopes
I have a couple of CDL Oscilloscopes that are in need of repair. If I were to bring them to a repair workshop would someone be able to help me fix them. I tried to disassemble one of them but was stopped in my tracks pretty quick. Wow are they packed tight. Also what would I need to repair them? -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry kd2zrq@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies KD2ZRQ
It would be helpful to know the manufacturer's name(s) and model number(s) of these scopes. Bill Dudley This email is free of malware because I run Linux. On Sun, Sep 11, 2022 at 12:03 PM Neil Cherry via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:

Bill, I'll get those. I know both are Tektronix. I think both are 100MHz. I have working models of both but I'll need to check tonight so we have two of each. One is a Tektronix 464 (with DVM) I think (this is Martin's). Both are analog. They might not be worth saving and we don't need them immediately. -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry kd2zrq@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies KD2ZRQ

Oh they're definitely worth saving. All Tektronix oscilloscopes are well-documented and easily repaired. And, well, when that's done, you have a Tektronix oscilloscope. -Dave -- Dave McGuire, AK4HZ New Kensington, PA

Well we'll have 4. :-) Cool, thanks. I'll get the information tonight. I have a list of things to get done tonight. I need to remember to bring in the isolation transformer. Probably won;t find that tonight. -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry kd2zrq@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies KD2ZRQ
There's a very helpful Tektronix mailing list: TekScopes@groups.io <http://www.google.com/search?q=digestnoreply%40groups.io> I recently got a 2465 (FOUR channel 300MHz scope, basically a dream scope for me) and the list is invaluable. There's also the Tek wiki: https://w140.com/tekwiki/wiki/ Which has scans of most of the manuals you'd ever want. Bill Dudley This email is free of malware because I run Linux.
