OT: Downsizing my retro collection
Fair pricing is based on actual value. Check Ebay and see what the item sold for (by changing search filter to sold/completed listings). Then, decide what your discount would be if people came to you to pick up the items, and put them online. If you sell at a swap/hamfest meet, you can advertise in advance but you risk bringing items home so be prepared for that. If you can wait bring to the VCF East consignment. If you're willing to ship you'll get higher prices but you'd have the hassle of shipping, and you might as well then just use Ebay Bill

Does anyone have any thoughts, other than eBay, on the best way to pass on some of my gear? Fair pricing? Etc? Would prefer true enthusiasts and something more local due to shipping.
I have the following items I would like to sell: - Amiga 3000 near complete, maxed out. Works other than the flicker fixer circuit has some bad ram. Has RTG, Ethernet, SCSI to SD.
- Amiga 1000 all original with retro ram and kickstar upgrades from the day
- Atari Mega STE complete, 16Mhz Power
-Atari STE with a gotek, UK variant with modern 120/220 psu
- Atari 800 with a few drives
- Atari 800xls
- Commodore 64s, more than I remember should all be 100 percent
- Sinclair ZX Spectrum
-Acorn
I am in the Boston area.
To reach enthusiasts there's also the "Vintage Computer Items For Sale or Trade" on the VCF Forums: https://forum.vcfed.org/index.php?forums/vintage-computer-items-for-sale-or-... On Wed, Sep 25, 2024 at 8:25 AM Dean Notarnicola via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:

Wil - I might be interested in some of those. I am a collector and not a reseller (can send pics or video of my hobby room - Atari 800, mega STe, and Amiga 1200 are daily drivers for me). I would be willing to drive up to the Boston area (had a fun trip there a few weeks ago). If you have ideas on pricing feel free to DM email me. John.heritage@gmail.com.. (Regular STe and the 3000 are interesting, also curious which 8bit drives you have). Thanks!
