Hello everyone, The VCF Board and Steering Committee have decided to transfer our VAX 9000 out of our inventory to someone who has the ability to move 18 pallets and 6 rolling cabinets without charging us to get it out of the warehouse. We don't have the funding for such a move. This decision was made primarily because the machine is not functional, and we don't have the resources (time, parts, power requirements) to make it operational or display in our museum. Please be assured that it went to a very good home, to someone who has the time, space, and money to display it properly. In addition to providing a better home for this historical artifact, this move provided us the added bonus of clearing a significant amount of space in our warehouse, which gives us much needed breathing room to better organize our existing artifacts, as well as be more prepared for any potential future rescues.
