My wife and I have been cleaning her parents' old house, and I found her brother's Commodore 64 in the original old cardboard box and with a holder overfull with 5-1/4" floppies. No sign of a floppy drive yet. Is there a recommended web page for steps forward? I'm an EE, built some ham radios, but no experience reviving a C64 (assuming it needs reviving - don't want to power it up with the 40 yr old old supply!). There are many, many YouTube videos but I wonder if any of them or particular site is considered -the- place to go. Thanks for any recommendations, Mike ab3ap
Personally I would suggest bringing it to one of the workshops. There are many people interested in commodore 64 that could help. Including Jeff Brace. I have a diagnostic cartridge and harness and so do others. Matter of fact I need help with an apple 2 plus keyboard issue. Mike Sent from: My extremely complicated, hand held electronic device.

This site is the most highly recommended place to start: https://www.portcommodore.com/rcarlsen/ Ray Carlsen was a former Commodore Authorized technician. He has helped a lot of people with Commodore repairs. Start there, and if you need instant or interactive help, then I can point you in the right direction. If you are close to VCF (Wall, NJ), then our next repair workshop is in June <https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Y17roR2xP75sq5kjbv8jcVPk-a3vCVjWdmTW6ALP478/edit?usp=sharing> Jeff Brace
Thanks for any recommendations, Mike ab3ap

Thanks, Jeff, and everyone else! Your suggestions are very much appreciated. I'll start at the web page above and see how that goes. It gives me a few months till the next Workshop. I live 2 or so hours away in PA, so a bit of hike but it would be a special occasion and sounds fun. Many thanks! Mike Markowski
If you live near kennett square, being it over. Everything youd need to test a c64 is there in the shop. Direcrions, see: Kennettclassic.com Bill On Tue, Feb 21, 2023, 9:02 PM Mike Markowski via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:
