Re: [vcf-midatlantic] Semi-OT: printer for new museum signs
A design jet would be perfect if the price is right. Can you contact Evan or I off list to give us the information on this person selling. Thanks, Corey corey cohen uǝɥoɔ ʎǝɹoɔ

I meant 17x22, not 11x22.
I support a Digital Archive and we just bought http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/jsp/Pro/SeriesStylusPro4900/Overview.do?U... We spent $2K but it produces unbelievable high-quality images. The only reason I mention it is because the quality of the output is surprised me. May not be worth it for the museum. Ben

Evan, I've bought a couple of Epson Workforce multifunction devices which have a scanner glass 11x17, and can print larger than 11x17 as well. They are inkjet, and the WF7610 and one WF7620 have worked well; there is a WF7110 printer only 13x19 inkjet as well, but I have no experience with that one. (at $149 it is reasonably priced, but ink isn't cheap) http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/jsp/ProductCategory.do?oid=-17867&sortid=... We spent $2K
That's where I stopped reading. :) But I just learned that even very cheap inkjets, sub-$200, can print 11x17. That might be our best compromise if a larger printer is unaffordable.
