Re: [vcf-midatlantic] GSA lighthouse offices available
I have done work at some of them (USCG reservist), some of them get flooded and I think the salty air is not that great for computers . It would be cool to have an event there, but not store or keep computers there for a prolonged period of time. Here is a link that I found online after I read a newspaper article referring to the federal government, general services administration, providing free offices to Nonprofit organizations and others. These “offices” happen to be old light houses that are no longer are used. Would it be interesting if VCF were to have a computer museum in a lighthouse? Link is below.

Yes I have to admit you are correct. But the initial thought was cool! Sent from: My extremely complicated, hand held electronic device.

I thought your idea was great which is why I said an event would be cool. On Mon, May 17, 2021 at 9:30 AM Sentrytv <sentrytv@yahoo.com> wrote:

What would be even cooler is if we had a hidden underground bunker under the lighthouse like Agents of SHIELD ;)

Hello! Doesn't InfoAge have a shelter? I've been down the steps shown where the passage is that brings us to the major exhibit space but not down those steps. There are offices above, which have them barred off. But both are good. ----- Gregg C Levine gregg.drwho8@gmail.com "This signature fought the Time Wars, time and again." Yes. There is a fallout shelter in the basement.
