I'm thinking about exhibiting at the Tandy Assembly in September. For those of you who attended last year, how did you like it? Mike Loewen mloewen@cpumagic.scol.pa.us Old Technology http://q7.neurotica.com/Oldtech/
I went last year. This year is the same venue in Ohio in a very nice hotel/conference center. I had a good time. Lots of vendors; good opportunity to get enhancements installed on site (many at a discount) and talk to the creators of same. And of course cool exhibits mixed in. The main room is about the size of the lower exhibit hall at VCFe, maybe a bit bigger. There were good lectures as well. One of my favorite parts was the auction (items donated for the benefit of TA.) I picked up some great items at a bargain price. Of course, lots of comraderie and putting faces to names, and Tandy specific tech talk, similar to VCFe. As well, potential Friday afternoon classes were announced for this year. Pete C Is actively soliciting people to teach classes. It should be a great time. I'd go this year, but it conflicts with with business travel :-( - Dean On Sun, Jun 2, 2019 at 4:47 PM Mike Loewen via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:

It's less than an hour from where I live...

For once, it's not conflicting with other things I'm doing! I'm not huge into Tandy gear (he says, looking at an M3, M4, fully-decked out M1, M100, Coco...) but I am in the middle of restore/repair/upgrade of the M4 I got at VCF East a couple of years back. My goal is to use it as both a CP/M machine and a TRS-80. It basically works except the drive that came with it needs to be radially aligned. It works fine with borrowed drives from other machines which is why I bought a bare SA400 and a couple of bare TM100-2 drives at VCF East last month. -ethan
