Next Swap Meet - Possible Date
Does anyone see any problem with June 17, 2023? I see nothing listed for hamfests. Realizing that you can find fault with almost any date I'll just mention that the only reason I couldn’t attend last weekend's event was because it was over the Columbus day weekend (school holiday) so my niece's family was visiting us. People tend to make travel plans around holiday weekends of course... The weekend of June 17th might have a similar problem as it is Father's day weekend (and would likely also impact anyone who has a graduating high school or college senior.) but like I said there can be problems with other weekends too of course... That seems like a good date. I just checked... there are no family milestone (Sweet 16, etc.) birthday parties obligated on my schedule for that day, like it was for the Oct 2022 Swap Meet. Everyone has very good points. I'm going to avoid Father's Day weekend because we do the repair workshop the same weekend. And yes graduation is likely around June 17 weekend. Possibly June 10th weekend. What about June 10th? (8 weeks after VCF East) What about June 3?
