Repair Workshop 2023-01-14 & 15
Anyone else want to chime in on what they worked on?
Saturday, I assisted Dave Gesswein, in successful recovery of my Intel Multibus System 320 hard drive's contents. Those contents were a Xenix installation for that Intel 80826 based system. Those interested can contact me for details. The recovered drive image will be processed by a group of Multibus supporters. My thanks to David for his MFM recovery and replacement services, they are an outstanding contribution to vintage computing restoration. I chatted with a few of the other workshop participants, and obtained parts from a few of them as prearranged. Dan had some questions about restoring Macintosh floppy drives, and so I spent some time with Dan on those matters. David and I muscled the Xerox Star from the Warehouse to the CDL lab for his repairs. We looked briefly at Neil Cherry's OS-9 68K system, but David waited for Sunday when Neil would be available. Neil reported he wasn't able to get to his system then. Well, I'll encourage him to work on it in the future. It's a nice system. Regards, Herb Johnson -- Herbert R.
