If it's just general dusting, any of the lightweight devices will work.
If you think you're going to need to vacuum up heavier things, or even nuts/bolts, go with Dewalt or Makita, and as someone else suggested, standardise on one device brand for cordless devices. It'll make buying batteries and chargers less of a hassle.
Personally, I standardised on Makita 20+ years ago and haven't regretted it, and parts remain available for a really long time. Their handheld shop vac device can suck up 3/4" nuts and bolts and doesn't flinch, and the battery lasts a long time.
Since we already had Milwaukee brand with wireless garden tools we decided to stay with that. So we got the wireless brand.
