Hello! I'm surprised that this turned up for me, and I hadn't read about it here first. In case anyone has the motivation and the proximity..... (and can stomach facebook) https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1178156389355802/

Actually, there was discussion about this on CCTalk. Seems that the keyboards are gone, most of it is in bad shape. Storage ain't cheap and eventually "free" stuff gets pretty expensive. Bill On Thu, Jul 22, 2021 at 3:21 PM murph via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:

I had heard about it, I think on the Steering Committee List or in our weekly meetings. Didn't think about posting it here as it was already quite public in different areas and it's far for most of the members on this list.

It is a nightmare. Some of us over at LSSM had been working for days on a deal for some of his stuff that's important to us, and his price expectations are nuts. We were even offering what I consider to be serious money (north of $1K) for a very short list of filthy, poorly-stored hardware, we even had someone willing to go pick it up for us, and the dickhead turned his nose up at it. I should point out that what this guy did was get a grungy, wet, moldy, never-gonna-be-a-public-place warehouse, dropped the word "MUSEUM" everywhere, then went on a donation solicitation rampage and got a bunch of people to give him free hardware. He then sat on it for awhile, then started selling it for serious money. He made a fortune not long ago from the rabid "BEAMSPRING!!!" keyboard gamer kids, so all of the terminals there are missing their keyboards. Check out Deskthority for the relevant threads, if you can stomach it. And not only did this scumbag manage to acquire an extremely rare SDS-940 minicomputer, he then went ahead and SCRAPPED IT. No joke. Now he's trying to get top dollar for the boards he ripped out of it. Now he has to be out of that building by the end of the month, and he's going to have to pay to scrap most of that stuff, which he is STILL demanding serious money for, days before he has to empty the building. Not a smart man, and quite an ass on top of that. Don't waste your time. -Dave -- Dave McGuire, AK4HZ New Kensington, PA
Did I see this is in Houston? One of the muggiest cities in the country. I'm sure the mold has enjoyed a good life in that warehouse... -----Original Message----- From: vcf-midatlantic <vcf-midatlantic-bounces@lists.vcfed.org> On Behalf Of Dave McGuire via vcf-midatlantic Sent: Saturday, July 24, 2021 5:29 PM To: Jeffrey Brace via vcf-midatlantic <vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> Cc: Dave McGuire <mcguire@neurotica.com> Subject: Re: [vcf-midatlantic] Equipment in Texas.
