Hi folks, this is somewhat off-topic, but I'm looking to sell my Vision Engineering Mantis (original model) and LitePlacer. If you don't know what these are, you probably don't need them. The Mantis has 4x and 6x objectives and has been converted to LED. Bolt-to-bench mounting post included. It's "well loved", but works great and the optics are perfect. The LitePlacer is mostly stock, but with an upgraded controller and cameras; will provide config files for an older release of OpenPnP and some spare parts. It is "fiddly", but I've literally made a living with it for years, so "the proof is in the pudding" so to speak. Not going to ship this. Both are great, selling due to upgrades. Contact me if interested. -Dave -- Dave McGuire, AK4HZ New Kensington, PA

The Mantis has been sold. The LitePlacer is still available. -Dave -- Dave McGuire, AK4HZ New Kensington, PA
Hello! Both of these are, or were in one case, the sort of scopes used by the folk who routinely repair hardware that uses SMT type parts? Correct? Or perhaps also a scope and pick-and-place unit? Correct? ----- Gregg C Levine gregg.drwho8@gmail.com "This signature was present when the impossible happened 23 years ago, twice." The Mantis is a type of microscope commonly used in SMT work. The LitePlacer is a low-end pick-and-place system. -Dave On 11/23/24 22:37, Gregg Levine wrote:
