How did everyone handle the storm?
I'm in the heart of the deepest stuff -- 30". Shoveled twice yesterday an= d once today.
Not according to official records. FWIW, there's about 3.5 ft just outside my back door. Yesterday, I had to take the glass pane out of the storm door and shovel out from inside the house to get out.

We got about 18", maybe a bit more. We're out, with no problems, thanks to neighbors with snowblowers. My parents got about 32", in Montgomery County, MD. - Alex
In Monroe Twp, NJ (8a on the Turnpike) I have about 30". Winds were terrible and we have a few drifts that go over the cars. Over all just a lot of snow and wind (since I stayed in and didn't go outside ;-) ). Odd thing is I haven't seen any snow birds out (chikadee size, black backs, white bellies, AKA rain birds). But I am seeing other odd birds (large wood peckers). I still have more digging to get to the drainage sewer for the melt the rest of the week. Yes, that's them. I've always seen them a bit darker, almost back. Thanks -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry ncherry@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies

Wall public works did the plowing and InfoAge volunteers Dan Jacobs and Chris (don't know his last name) were there shoveling. Dan sent me pictures which I posted just now on InfoAge's Facebook page. As I understand it, the plowing did NOT extend to the back ramp where we load/unload for workshops, nor to our storage area door. However, high temps will be in the 40s starting Tuesday and continuing through next weekend, so we should be fine for the postponed workshop.

we officially got 26" in Fairfax, VA. On my deck, there is enough to go up to my chest. I think some fell from the roof. Shoveled my driveway at about 6", then cleaned the way to the front door , then cleared the driveway today. the mounds on each side are 5-7 feef. Maybe it was 26", but It felt a lot taller to my arms and back.. On Sun, Jan 24, 2016 at 5:12 PM, Martin A Flynn via vcf-midatlantic <vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:
