Hello everyone, After much struggle my Apple IIe is up and running! Unfortunately I'm in a software drought. I just have the system utilities and DOS 3.3 at the moment. I'm looking for some games for the system. I'm based in NYC, and am willing to drive within 45mins-1hr. Does anyone have any games they're looking to sell? You can contact me at my email or here, I don't care which. Thanks, James Garland
If you have a simple 3.5mm audio cable (to go from the cassette port of your Apple II to the audio output of a computer or smartphone) you can run all of the games (and even make disks if you wish) you need directly from the Internet using your computer or smartphone. Just go here (to stream): http://asciiexpress.net/gameserver/ or here (to make disks): http://asciiexpress.net/diskserver/ ======================================================== Bill Loguidice, Managing Director; Armchair Arcade, Inc. <http://www.armchairarcade.com> ======================================================== Authored Books <http://www.amazon.com/Bill-Loguidice/e/B001U7W3YS/ref=ntt_dp_epwbk_1> and Film <http://www.armchairarcade.com/film>; About me and other ways to get in touch <http://about.me/billloguidice> ======================================================== On Fri, Jan 1, 2016 at 8:06 PM, James Garland via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

I have Leather Goddesses of Phobos, in the box with all the "feelies" that came with that particular Infocom game of that age, I have a few other originals. I'd have to get you the titles. It really depends on what you're going to to do with your library. If you're going to play, the cheapest route is ADT, as it just requires an audio cable and modern computer that you downloaded the images from the Internet from, but you're required to have media to put it on, which is rather pricey, even at bulk prices. Another option which requires a larger investment upfront, but uses modern media (sd cards) to store the disk images, is the Floppy Emu from bigmessowires.com I've used it on all of my vintage apples, from my Apple IIe to some of my various Mac's. On certain models it can also emulate Either Smartport drives (on the II series) or HD20 Hard Drives on various Macs. It's an excellent product and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who has an interest in vintage Apple computers. Joseph Oprysko -- Normal Person: Hey, it seems that you know a lot. Hi James, Check out ADT Pro: http://adtpro.sourceforge.net/ Just about everyone Apple II game known to man is now available as a disk image and the ADT Pro can help you transfer them from a modern PC to the Apple IIe in various ways. Or, my preferred methods, get one of these while you can: http://dreher.net/?s=projects/CFforAppleII&c=projects/CFforAppleII/main.php Best wishes, -Adam

In addition to the other options listed (all great ones and all that I have used and still use myself) I'd throw in another option. One of the best for under $100 http://m.ebay.com/itm/DISK-II-emulator-for-Apple-II-series-computers-/161930... I own two of them. Nothing could be easier or faster. Copy .dsk images from Internet (pick your site) to an sd card from your modern PC/Mac. Put sd card into the disk II emulator (which connects to your apple II via the same disk ][ controller card the disk ][ floppy drives connect to) and turn on machine. Done! I connect it to the drive one connector and a real floppy drive to drive two and turn disk images into real floppies instantly. Highly recommended. Tony (Ps, I have no affiliation with the seller other than I bought two of them for myself!)
