Pretty sure these things breed! I've got a nice, clean Kaypro 2 (built-in modem, half-height floppies) that boots from disk and appears to work just fine. I don't need it as I've already got one. I can bring non-original boot disks with it. Make offer! Thanks, Jonathan
Jonathan, Can you bring an XT IDE kit and slot 8 adapter? I’m bringing a 5155 that I need to test, to Festivus. I also just noticed that you are doing NVRAM battery replacements for Sun4c. I’ll have to talk to you, as I will need to replace all my NVRAMs. Not quite yet, though. Thanks! - Alex On Wed, Nov 29, 2017 at 09:44 systems_glitch via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

Alex I am also looking for a nvram source for two sun workstations. Bill
I'll bring NVRAM replacement modules! Alex, are you just wanting one to test with, or are you wanting to buy one? Thanks, Jonathan On Thu, Dec 7, 2017 at 11:42 AM, william degnan via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

Everyone -- there's precedent for some inevitable tech work happening at Festivus -- after all that IS what our species of nerd does to socialize. :) But keep mind that it is a party, not a workshop. Let's not get into any serious work there that would time up space/time, please.
It *is* kinda what we do :) I'll be dropping stuff off for people, but I kinda suspect that they, like me, won't be able to resist the temptation to open it up and take a look immediately! Thanks, Jonathan On Thu, Dec 7, 2017 at 2:59 PM, Evan Koblentz <evan@vcfed.org> wrote:

I know, just keep it in check. I kind of feel a moral responsibility to make sure you all put down the joystick and play outdoors now and then (so to speak .... pick up the joysticks at Festivus!)
All, I’m bringing a CoCo 2, in its original box, if anyone is interested. - Alex On Thu, Dec 7, 2017 at 3:15 PM Evan Koblentz via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:
