Make sure that the floppy drive on the canon cat has had the design-flaw plastic piece inside replaced with a metal piece instead, or it will randomly self-destruct the drive. IIRC the plastic piece holds the head rails to the drive case, and if it breaks the heads cannot retract, and if the diskette is ejected in that state the drive head gets torn completely off, totally ruining the drive. The original delrin(?) plastic piece should be replaced with a piece of machined aluminum instead, from what I understand. Sent from my iPhone
