Anyone here get this? It was fun watching it. Within a few minutes it went from around $600 to almost $10,000. http://www.ebay.com/itm/191737673720

Either automatic biding software or someone set a bid limit. It's one of the reasons I don't bid early. Some people go nuts (it's mine you can't have it , mentality). I start late, set my limit and walk away knowing I only spent what I wanted (or made someone else miserable ;-) ). -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry ncherry@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies
esnipe is how I do this. Decide how much I want something (or compute an offer under "buy-it-now + shipping" for similar items, put it in esnipe, done. Joy Bidder is the app I use. Set the max bid, set it for 3 seconds before the auction ends and if I still don't win that means it was out of my price range! Tony Sent from my iPhone

It depends on the -11. For an 11/35, I could see it. For an 11/23, not so much. :-) - Dave
For an 11/23, not so much. :-)
Even a more capable QBus system like the 11/73 doesn't approach $10K -- and you usually get some sort of storage in the chassis, too! One could draw the same comparison to lights-and-switches S100 systems vs turnkey boxes. Several kilobux for any big-name front panel machine, several hundred dollars for a (non-Altair, non-IMSAI, non-NorthStar) S100 box with no programmer's front panel. Thanks, Jonathan

The 11/35 is one of the oldest models, and one of the rarest. The front panel helps, sure, but there were a LOT more 11/23s and 11/73s sold than 11/35s. -Dave -- Dave McGuire, AK4HZ New Kensington, PA

For a fairly rare model, yes. -Dave -- Dave McGuire, AK4HZ New Kensington, PA
