Re: [vcf-midatlantic] OT: Suggestions for event management software
I concur with David about Tech Soup being a great resource for some (not all, obviously) business software at deeply discounted pricing for 501(c)(3) charitable organizations such as MARCH/VCF. To qualify you must provide them with a copy of your organization's IRS Letter of Determination of 501(c)(approval), Federal Tax ID# (EIN), and other info. https://www.techsoup.org/joining-techsoup/registration -bernieS
Yes. We use Tech Soup, but from what I remember all of that is used up with paying for AWS support for our servers that support the VCF Forum and VCF website. We usually don't have anything leftover. I have a volunteer researching software and there is a good candidate that we are evaluating: Whova. It seems to have everything that we need, is flexible and does a lot of the organizing "stuff" in one place. I have a friend who works in AWS Sales in Virginia (you met him at Festivus). I'll ask him to find out if AWS offers any discounts for small nonprofits like us. -bernieS From: jeffrey@vcfed.org Sent: November 7, 2025 6:06 PM To: vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org Cc: bernies@panix.com Subject: Re: [vcf-midatlantic] OT: Suggestions for event management software Yes.
