I'm going to test our Laser 128s (but I might get a head start the week prior when I have museum docent duty). For those who aren't aware: the Laser 128 is an Apple //c clone (even the handle!) but with an expansion card slot unlike a //c. If we can get one working, then I need to see if the slot works directly with a card. Ian said it's designed for an expansion box which we may not have (or who knows, maybe we do), but that it can be configured to work with a card directly. If we get * that * working, then it will be handy for the museum's upcoming Lego station and for road trips. We could use it with a //c monitor vs. requiring a full-sized //e + monitor.

Interesting! Is there a the charm to the laser vs a //e - Or is that simply what is in inventory?
The nice thing about the laser is its a nice compact form factor like the iic with a nicer keyboard, a handle, but still a little expandability vs the iic. They are nice machines. I use one as my main test machine for software and joysticks. Tony Sent from my iPhone

Practicality, not charm. Laser is small like a //c, but has the expansion card slot like a //e. Small is useful in the museum workshop and for road demos.
