Looking for an SSD to SCSI bridge compatible with DEC
Hi all, I am looking to get my AlphaServer 2100 back online, since it's winter here in Ohio and I would not have to worry much about heat. I am looking for a bridge that uses an SSD and has a 50 pin SCSI output and can be configured to work with DEC. Matt Sent from my iPhone

I've found that my AS2100 doesn't warm up the basement nearly as much as I thought it would. In any case, I think the closest to what you're looking for that's currently available would be SCSI2SD, but it's not particularly cheap for what it is ($70 a pop, last I checked). - Dave

There are also commercial/industrial SCSI SSDs available, but they are usually *very* expensive. Thanks, Jonathan
I use a SCSI2SD with a 3D printed case with my Heath H11 and Emulex card. Works like a charm. Get Outlook for iOS On Sat, Jan 7, 2017 at 9:50 AM -0500, "Systems Glitch via vcf-midatlantic" <vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

I have and recommend the Acard series to SCSI/IDE and SCSI/SATA bridges. I use an ARS-2160H, in my SGI Fuel: http://www.acard.com/english/fb01-product.jsp?idno_no=240&prod_no=ARS-2160H&... - or - http://www.acard.com/english/fb01-product.jsp?idno_no=239&prod_no=ARS-2320&t... Really well designed and low overhead. - Alex On Sat, Jan 7, 2017 at 10:56 AM, Richard Cini via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

Does anyone know of a SASI to SD interface ? Is SCSI 1 and SASI close enough ? Just curious -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry ncherry@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies

According to wiki: SASI is a fully compliant subset of SCSI-1 so that many, if not all, of the then-existing SASI controllers were SCSI-1 compatible -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry ncherry@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies
